We need you to play a key role in the Council, acting as a central hub for both internal and external communications. You’ll work with officers, elected members and partners to manage the messages sent out on sometimes controversial and complicated issues, helping to shape public discourse and maintain the Council’s reputation.
This role is critical to ensuring that our customers are given clear, engaging, accurate and timely information.
You’ll meet with a wide variety of challenges so will need experience of PR and Marketing ideally in Local Government or a public sector organisation. You’ll need excellent written and verbal communication skills, good presentation skills and the ability to produce and edit video content would be an advantage. Training opportunities will be available.
You should be enthusiastic, friendly, have a customer focussed attitude and be able to work independently.
