About the role

Are you patient, kind and caring with a desire to make a difference?

  • Serve your local community helping people in their homes to regain independence
  • A fantastic opportunity as a steppingstone to other careers in Adult Social Care
  • Gold-standard training, both clinical and therapeutic

Being a support worker in the Joint Community Rehabilitation team (JCR) is a rewarding and valued job which offers a great career pathway whilst serving your community.

Previous experience isn’t necessary as full gold-standard training will be given, but you will need to be patient, kind and caring with a desire to make a difference.

You will visit clients in their own homes, helping them to regain their independence and improve their quality of life after illness or an accident. Whilst working alongside our therapy team you will be implementing care, rehabilitation and exercise programmes. You will also support the client with personal care activities, such as washing, dressing, meal preparation and administering medication.

This is a front-line role that involves providing personal care for clients who may have an infectious disease such as Coronavirus.

There are permanent contracts available ranging from 18 to 30 hours per week. You will be required to have access to a car and to work alternate weekends and a mix of early and late shifts. Full time staff receive 24 days holiday plus bank holidays – this will be pro-rata for part time staff. The hourly rate is £10.62.

If you’d like to have a chat with our friendly team about if this role might be right for you, please call Michelle on 07872 014079.
