We have a significant programme of change planned and are looking for 2Pproject Managers and a Programme Officer to lead and support on implementation of service wide change initiatives .

That means incredible diversity and complexity of projects is assured, as is a huge scope to innovate on the frontier of exciting change initiatives including automation; system implementations; process re-engineering and defining new ways of working in unprecedented times of change within Surrey County Councils award winning Business Operations Service. The challenges and opportunities of COVID are allowing us to transform our business rapidly and you will play a key part in shaping the future of our service.
You will join the Business Operations project team who has the remit to drive improvements across the back office functions of HR, Finance, Procurement and Customer Services, ensuring we are fit to meet the challenges of the future.
The Project Manager roles are suitable for persons who have led or been a major part of delivering projects either as a project manager or as a key member of a project team.
The Programme Officer role would be suitable either for someone who has experience of delivering projects or comes from a background of ensuring work is organised and people are motivated to achieve targets.
To be equal to the challenge of both roles, you will possess a good knowledge of operational processes as well as experienced in managing projects from beginning to end. You will excel at working as a team providing clear leadership and guidance. Confident at communicating with a variety of stakeholders, you will be empathetic and influential with a passion for shaping and driving positive change.
We currently have three new job opportunities to support the projects teams on a 6 month fixed term contract till the end of March 2021. This role is also available as a secondment. If you are an internal candidate please speak with your line manager before applying.
