ESTATES TECHNICAL OFFICER (COTD095)
Salary £26,511 pa - £28,672 pa

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Estates Technical Officer to provide support to the property part of the Estates and Facilities business unit in their day to day work, dealing with property related queries, maintenance of property related systems and provision of plans.

Working as a member of our Corporate Estates and Facilities team, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining Tech Forge (our database) and update all property management records; Updating all tenant records where tenancies and/or terms of leases change; manage the property management system diary system ensuring rent reviews and lease renewals are actioned in a timely manner, and reminding Surveyors to do so.

You will also be responsible for the timely issuing of rent invoices, reminders, chasing debts and assist in monitoring the rent arrears position on the Council’s commercial property portfolio.

The role involves extensive liaison with colleagues in other departments and external stakeholders, so excellent communication skills are essential.  As well as a sound understanding of tenancy and property management, you will be expected to demonstrate significant experience service charges and invoice management. Candidates will be expected to work towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g. TechRICS, MRICS, ARLA); and further training opportunities exist for the right candidate.
