About the role
“East Sussex leaders set exceptionally high standards for services that support children who need help, protection or care.” Ofsted
Due to new funding, an exciting opportunity has arisen for highly-motivated Early Help Keyworkers to bring their family support skills to East Sussex’s Early Help Service for families (0-19). East Sussex is now seeking talented individuals to take positions in teams across Sussex. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we are ambitious on behalf of the young people and families we work with and believe every role we recruit is a part of this success.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Keyworking, including family assessment and developing holistic Early Help Plans that identify clear, measurable targets alongside packages of support.
You will need to have QCF Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English or demonstrate competency in these areas through tests and a QCF Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject as well as being able to show that you have a deep understanding of working with vulnerable families.
Crucially, you’ll need to be prepared to work effectively with families in a number of potential areas (including education, mental health, domestic violence, Youth Offending, income inequality).
In return, we offer competitive pay, great opportunities for professional development, and the chance to be part of an outstanding organisation that is committed to bringing about change in the lives of vulnerable children and families.
Our Early Help practice is high impact. We know we are making a difference because that’s what children and young people tell us.
So, if you’d like to be part of our progressive team, apply NOW.
“The local authority is a strong, dynamic learning organisation that encourages self reflection at all levels.” Ofsted
