These are exciting and busy times at Wealden. We regularly process between 3000 - 3500 planning applications per year, 700 enforcement cases, process 300 tree works applications and deal with around a 100 planning appeals each year. Our Land Charges Team is the 2020 Local Authority Searches Team of the Year and deal with around 4000 searches per year. For 2019-2010 we drew in just over £6m+ in CIL receipts and handled over 50 FOI/EIR requests.
Due to retirement, we are looking for a Service Improvement and Administration Manager to oversee the technology and administration of the Planning Service.
You’ll need detailed knowledge of the functioning of local government, the legal framework within which it operates and its relationship with central government across a wide range of activities.
Specifically, we want someone that has being involved with planning and assisted with implementing or overseeing digital and technology upgrades in Local Government.
