Remote working/ Pathfinder House, Huntingdon (across 3C ICT services in Cambridgeshire)

3C ICT is a shared service between Cambridge City Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council. Established in April 2016 to provide a more efficient way of delivering ICT services across the three partner councils our team  provide a range of services from digital development and integration, to server management and maintenance as well as standard desktop and business application support.

Due to internal career progression and accelerated growth we now have a number of new opportunities in our team including a vacancy for a Full Stack Developer/ Senior Digital Developer who will work closely with our Team leaders and manage a team of intermediate and junior developers who will benefit from your mentoring within our innovative and forward-thinking department.

Run as a scrum team our digital department manage the build and integration of our web-based offerings, linking our business systems together with our customer portals across all digital platforms.

You will quickly be immersed in a number of areas and we are currently working on an upgrade of our websites from Umbraco 7 to 8 and an integration of our back-office systems using API.

We have a strong record of progression within this team and you will be working in a fast paced, growing team with ambitions to increase its service offering (including mobile apps) as demand for digital services rises dramatically across our three partner councils.

This is a key leadership role within the team and you will have experience of working in a commercial or public sector team undertaking project work along experience of development using the full .Net development stack. Extensive experience of HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript and of using SQL server is also essential and you will provide key input to help create and maintain a cohesive and successful digital development team in order to deliver our commitments to our customers.

Previous experience of Umbraco CMS and RESTful API’s is also desirable as well as a track record in managing and mentoring people.
