The West of England Combined Authority (WECA) was formed in 2017 to bring the region together to drive economic growth. Working with our councils, we are making decisions about those important things that affect our residents every day – transport, homes, jobs and skills - decisions previously made by central Government, ensuring that the West of England continues to be a thriving, successful and innovative place for future generations.
WECA works in an outsourced IT environment and has an ambitious programme of work to deliver in the next 18 months, aiming at equipping our organisation with common digital tools to better meet our audience needs and work even more efficiently.
Reporting to the Change Programme Manager, the Junior Project Manager will have a pivotal role in supporting the procurement and delivery of WECA’s future ICT programme of work, including the consolidation of our corporate websites and customer relationship management systems (CRM), the development of a data warehouse and geospatial infrastructure to leverage our corporate data more effectively. The Junior Manager will also lead on small scale digital and technology projects, and act as an IT change champion for the organisation, ensuring that all of our users can get the most out of our newly deployed IT infrastructure (Microsoft 0365).
For this role, a strong collaborative and pragmatic approach will be paramount, with a focus on making things happen. The post holder will have a track record of successfully managing small scale projects from design to delivery, engaging with multiple internal and external stakeholders, being a proactive self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and a focus on customer service.
