About the role
‘Helping every child achieve their God-given potential’
St Leonard’s CEP Academy is a wonderful school that serves a community facing widely understood challenges. We are looking for someone to work with the new Executive Head to build and take forward the positive work that has already been undertaken in the school, such as the encouraging improvement in pupil attainment.
We wish to appoint a Head of School who will be keen to grow, learn and share their talents and skills with our community, to ensure our children continue to develop and experience the wonders of life and learning. We want someone who will love our school and our community, and go the extra mile for them every day.
This post is ideal for experienced and ambitious primary leaders who are aspiring to headship. The Trust places significant importance and resources into CPD for all its staff, and has a successful track record in developing senior leaders through to headship, both in and out of the Trust.
If you possess the above qualities, we would like to encourage you to visit the academy to see us in action. Please contact Dominique Lewis 01424 424530 option 4 or email email@example.com to arrange a visit.
For further details and an application form, please visit our website www.stleonards-ce.e-sussex.sch.uk/ or make contact on the details above.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
For further information about what is required in this process please go to www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check.
All school based staff have the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children. All school staff should be aware of the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and work in accordance with this document at all times.
