Horsham District Council are looking for a Wellbeing Officer to join our established Health and Wellbeing Team to support the delivery of the Wellbeing Hub across the Horsham District. The Wellbeing Service is part of a county-wide programme in West Sussex funded by Public Health to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent ill-health within our local communities. The service provides information, advice and signposts local people to services for help and support.
As Wellbeing Officer you will be responsible for supporting existing services and being involved in some exciting projects to ensure our fantastic range of services are accessible to the communities that need them. You will help shape and deliver new projects that target health and wellbeing interventions. In addition you will report on the service performance indicators and promote services through advertisement campaigns and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
To succeed as Wellbeing Officer you will be highly motivated with an interest in health promotion. You must have excellent IT, organisational skills and a genuine interest in the sector. You will be able to manage conflicting priorities, have good interpersonal and communication skills and be confident in building rapport with providers across a number of organisations, including GP practices, in order to establish pathways into the service. The role will require you to be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
If you have experience within the health and wellbeing sector, have a background in project delivery, excellent presentation and partnership working skills and would like to be part of a hardworking, friendly team then we would like to hear from you.
This post requires some flexibility, as occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
