As the corporate Equalities Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Council to embed equality into everything we do. You will have a lead on the design, development, implementation and review of Council policies and strategies on diversity and equality, ensuring that they are aligned to our priorities.
Working collaboratively with other Equality leads across the Council, you will develop a clear and coherent Council wide approach to equality and diversity issues, including developing and implementing initiatives, projects and approaches in support of our equality and diversity strategies.
You will be a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build networks and positive working relationships. You will also be comfortable analysing and interpreting data and complex information, as well as undertaking research to support equality and diversity initiatives and projects. This will include supporting equality impact analysis for policy and service developments.
An experienced equality and diversity professional, you will help ensure that we meet our statutory duties as well as developing innovative and inclusive solutions and approaches in support of our wider equalities and diversity agenda.
