Lunchtime/Welfare Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic lunchtime supervisor to commence on 28th September 2020.  The role will involve helping our children have a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime, supervising children as they eat their lunch and helping them play well together.  Hours of work will be: 11.45am - 1.15pm Monday - Friday (term time only)

The successful candidate will be required to work well as part of a team.

The role involves:

Setting up and clearing away tables for lunch service

Helping children to eat their lunch

Ensuring health and safety during lunchtime

Helping support and encourage good manners during lunchtime

Clearing tables and ensuring eating areas are clean and tidy

Supervising children on the playground

initiating playgound games to engage the children in play eg skipping and using playground markings

Supporting behaviour on the playground

Having a calm manner and a good sense of humour

Due to the nature of the work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau
