Our teams work with children aged 0-7 with a range of complex and communication needs, some may have a diagnosis of Autism.

We have an opportunity within the SEND Specialist Advice and Support team for Early Years Inclusion Specialists to provide support, advice and guidance to families, settings and schools for children with Speech, Language, Communication and Autism needs. This role is within the SLCA Service but there will be opportunities to liaise with the Early Years Team as required.

You will also deliver training and workshops for parents and settings. In partnership with a Specialist Advisory Teacher, you will enable families and settings to develop practical skills that develop their interaction and engagement with the child through modelling, signposting and collaborative working.

The role calls for a qualification in early years and significant experience of working with preschool children and children within the foundation stage who have SEND. Experience of working with families and other professionals, and a thorough knowledge of SEND and Communication and Autism needs is essential. Additional qualification relating to SEND and Autism are desirable.
