As a Trainee Service Desk Analyst, you will provide first line IT support and customer service for our employees. The postholder will be provided with relevant guidance and training in order to build their skills and knowledge within IT. In this role, you will receive training to manage straight forward incidents, requests and problems, ensuring that IT issues are recorded appropriately to support IT data statistics. You will be trained on how to create and disable user accounts, how to install/reinstall software and to resolve/assist in the resolution of faults.
In order to be successful in this position, you’ll possess the ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with challenging internal customers and excellent listening skills. It is essential that you have a good technical knowledge of Microsoft Office and; Exchange administration, Active Directory and knowledge of & ability to work to standards such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library. Successful applicants will be educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent – an IT related degree qualification is desirable.
