About the role

We are looking to appoint a School Business Manager

Single Status Grade 11 - term time only  - Salary range £32,258 to £34,844

3 Days Per Week (21 Hours)

As the position is part-time/term time only the above salary will be pro-rata

St Mary’s is a busy one-form entry school catering for the educational needs of 219 pupils. It is a dynamic place to work, with a strong team of committed, hard-working and supportive staff. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic person to lead all aspects of business management in the school, including finance, personnel, IT and premises. The postholder will also act as lead on Health and Safety. This is an exciting role that demands excellent judgement and initiative.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be able to advise the Headteacher and governors on strategic financial management, including short and medium term revenue budget planning and capital projects
  • Lead an office team in the delivery of all day to day business
  • Be competent in the use of financial and management systems with a high degree of attention to detail and deadlines
  • Thrive in working in a school busy office and have excellent interpersonal skills with both adults and children
  • Be an innovative thinker, keen to embrace and deliver new developments and projects.
