This is a fantastic time to be joining Medway as a Social Worker in our Youth Offending Team.  You will be part of innovative creative team that is seeking to deliver a ‘child first’ approach to Youth Justice. It is a small team of 3 social workers, 4 Youth Offending Team Officers, a Practice Manager. The team has multi agency partnership workers including the Police and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. There is strong partnership working with children’s social care

As a registered social worker with HCPC and at least one year’s experience, you will be experienced in undertaking direct work with children and young people and be able to evidence understanding of the child’s lived experience. You will also have a good knowledge of Youth Justice Legislation and statutory guidance relevant to working in Youth Justice Children’s services.

You will be responsible for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision.
