Garage Management Officer -  7 months Fixed Term Contract (P1467)

Inclusive salary range from (pro rata) £25,408 up to £27,608 per year

 

Housing Services are responsible for managing and maintaining 5000 properties including general needs tenancies as well as garage lettings.  In this new post you will undertake the day to day administration and coordination for all council garage sites and garage letting across the district approx. 2,000 garages across 100 sites.

 

We are looking for a talented individual to cover this role for up to 7 months whilst the permanent postholder is on an internal secondment elsewhere within the department. In this role you will be part of a support team and will lead on garage allocation and also assist with letting, income collection and termination of garage agreements.

 

You will carry out desktop research, market analysis and user surveys of current garage tenants and potential tenants to identify opportunities for increasing the number of lettings to maximise income, identifying potential sites suitable for redevelopment and improvement. You will also provide a high-quality customer service, dealing will garage related questions and complaints.

 

You will be educated to A Level standard or with equivalent level of literacy gained whilst undertaking tasks where there is a need to provide written analysis and research. Previous experience of reviewing and implementing operational policies, procedures and guidelines relating to garage lettings will be desirable for this post. 

 

Working knowledge of and commitment to customer service excellence and best practice is essential for this post.  You must also be an excellent communicator, be IT literate and ideally be able to use an Orchard housing management system or similar, however, training will be given.
