About the role
Due to retirement, an exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for an Office Manager within Adult Social Care. As an Office Manager you will oversee and manage the delivery of administrative support to front line operational teams and their managers to ensure colleagues can deliver excellent services to the public. You will play a key role in the continuous improvement and development of services to ensure they remain efficient and of a high standard.
The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, be organised, have good IT literacy, and be experienced in managing and supporting administrative staff to reach their full potential.
Adult Social Care holds many complex meetings, both professional and with members of the public (such as safeguarding and best interests meetings). As an Office Manager the ability to take accurate minutes and supervise administrative staff in this function is essential.
The post will be based in St Leonards-on-Sea and covers two operational teams.
Hastings and Rother Neighbourhood Support Team is a generic Adult Social Care Team that supports adults, their families and carers living with differing needs as a consequence of physical health issues, aged related conditions, neurological conditions, mental health issues and/or learning difficulties.
The Countywide Reviewing Team completes reviews of commissioned care across county and supports Adult Social Care with strategic projects.
Both Teams are well established, friendly and welcoming. Adult Social Care is committed to support you to reach your full potential and offers regular training opportunities and supervision.
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). For further information about what is required in this process please go to http://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check. Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
