This is an exciting opportunity to join the Autism Team to support positive outcomes for pupils with Autism. The role involves working with colleagues in mainstream schools with planning provision and support for pupils with Autism. The role also involves planning, delivering and evaluating training, some of this will be within schools and some delivered for groups of practitioners and/or families in other settings.
You will need to have extensive knowledge and had significant experience of working with pupils with Autism and their families. You will need to be able to work collaboratively with colleagues in the Autism Team and with other teams in education, health and social care.
To be successful in this post it is vital that applicants have accredited qualifications in the field of Autism, experience of delivering training and providing advice/guidance to those working with children & young people with Autism. If the successful candidate is appointed on the Unqualified Pay Scale, they would be expected to work towards Qualified Teachers Status.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
