The Environmental Health teams are within our Housing Health and Engineering Service area, and deliver a range of regulatory functions across the council. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Environmental Health practitioner to join our Residential Team.  This is a full-time, permanent position. 

Being part of the Residential Team you will cover a wide range of housing duties, including the enforcement of housing standards, HMOs licensing and investigation of harassment and illegal eviction of private tenants. You will also investigate statutory nuisance and drainage complaints from home owners and tenants. As part of the Residential Team you will be given the opportunity to contribute to other areas of work, such as private water supplies and empty properties.  

You must hold a degree / diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB registration or working towards becoming a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner to with experience of working in a relevant Environmental Health field.
