Pendle Council are looking to recruit an experienced, AAT qualified (or equivalent) individual to join our Financial Services Team.
The successful candidate will provide financial advice and support to key areas of the Council. You will play a key role in the following areas of activity:
- Budget preparation, control and monitoring for designated Services.
- Coordination and production of the Council’s annual Budget Book.
- Completion of year-end closure of accounts, including submission of statutory returns.
- Preparation of the Council’s annual Statement of Accounts.
You should have previous experience of working in a financial environment, preferably Local Government although this is not essential, use of financial management systems and possess good skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications, notably Excel. You will be an experienced practitioner, being able to demonstrate experience of working to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail, the ability to work to strict deadlines and the ability to prioritise your workload. Good communication skills are also essential.
