Owlswick Children's Home
Owlswick School and Home provides residential care and education to young people who have social, emotional and behaviourial issues related to adverse childhood experiences. We are situated near Lewes in East Sussex.
Our experienced staff are proud to provide high quality care and education in order for young people to achieve their aspirations with the aim of becoming resilient, confident and independent young adults. Staff support and work with young people who on occasion can display some challenging behaviours.
We are looking to recruit an enthuastic, active and nuturing individual to work as a Care Support Worker in our home.
This is a full time post with the opportunity to join our care team. You will work to a shift pattern that covers a rolling monthly rota of days, evenings, sleep-ins and weekends supporting young people within the home.
The successful applicant will need to have at least one year’s experience of working in a residential care setting or in an equivalent area, supporting young people. You will act as a key-worker to at least one young person.
Preferably the post holder will have a QCF Level 3 qualification that is relevant to the post and/or be willing to achieve this. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications and will be circa £20 000 plus additional payments for overtime and sleep-ins.
