Children and Families Centre Officer

Based at Leyton Children and Family Centre Hub

Required August 2020

1 x Permanent full time 36 hours post –

Salary: Scale 6 £27,228 – £28,725 (SCP 18-21)

Enhanced DBS required

Leyton Children and Families Centre is looking for a Children Centre Officer to perform a variety of support and organisational functions/duties to deliver Children and Family Centre services and ensure the effective and timely delivery of various projects and services.

The postholder will report to the Area Manager for the Leyton hub and will work very closely with them on specific projects or events. The postholder will need to have excellent communication skills with internal staff, other organisations and members of the public who call or visit the building.

 As well as being the key contact point for the centre, receiving and dealing with personal callers and telephone enquiries, the postholder will promote the centre by marketing and advertising what’s available, as well as organise diary appointments, meetings and will also minute them. You will also need excellent IT skills, particularly on spread sheet applications and data coordination as well as substantial experience of database management and maintenance.
