1 Year Fixed Term Contract position

Medway Council Youth Service is recruiting for a Senior Youth Development Worker (JNC qualified) to develop and oversee targeted Youth Work at Medway Hospital. The youth workers will provide support for vulnerable young people between the ages of 8 and 19 (up to 25 with additional needs) who present at Medway Maritime hospital exhibiting issues including: youth violence, mental health and challenging behaviours. Young people in Medway face challenges including gang culture, county lines, CSE, domestic abuse and violence, and substance misuse; we believe this is an opportunity to make an impact through timely intervention.
