An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Health Technician in the Food and Safety Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgement to undertake a range of duties. We offer a flexible working environment within the team.
You will support the delivery of the team’s work including food safety, health & safety, port health, communicable disease control, licensing and associated environmental health matters.
You will carry out food hygiene inspections, complaint work, infectious disease investigations and sampling - taking appropriate enforcement action where required. Providing advice and guidance to our businesses will also form an integral part of your workload.
Depending on your qualifications and experience you may also undertake health and safety work including complaint investigation, accidents and dangerous occurrences as well as participation in workplace health and safety project work.

You must hold a full driving license and will require your own vehicle for business use.

- Higher Certificate in Food Control (or equivalent)
- Registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or equivalent
- Recent, relevant, post-qualification regulatory experience within a local authority, including food hygiene inspections, interventions and investigations
