Are you passionate about green spaces and looking for a job where you could make a real difference to the parks and open spaces in Runnymede?
If so, we are seeking a team leader to manage our small Open Spaces and Allotments team. Your job will be to ensure that the Council’s green spaces and allotments are properly maintained and managed. This role provides lots of variety – from supervising and directing the team to liaising with contractors, undertaking site inspections, organising repairs, dealing with correspondence or even leading a volunteer work party.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the qualities required of a team leader and this could be an opportunity for those looking to progress into supervisory management within the green space sector.
You will need to have knowledge of a range of grounds maintenance operations and be able to liaise positively with stakeholders, including the public, colleagues and Councillors and be able to deal professionally and promptly with any escalated issues.
If you are self-motivated, able to prioritise your own work and that of the team, have an eye for detail and would enjoy working indoors and out, this could be the job for you.
