Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week (0.8FTE)
Salary Grade: Soulbury Scale 13-16
Salary: £50,561- £54,359 to a maximum of £58,029 per annum (pro rata)

Barnet Education and Learning Service is a company wholly-owned by Barnet Council, delivering the Council’s education services to schools, children and young people.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced Advisory Teacher for Multi-Sensory Impairment (QTMSI). The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference to the education and lives of children and young people with MSI and VI with additional needs. They will work as part of a small, well-motivated and experienced team of QTVIs, which forms part of the Specialist Team.
The Specialist Team comprises advisory teams for inclusion, autism, hearing and visual impairment, physical disabilities, a dedicated pre-school autism service and Early Support.
The Advisory Teacher will provide specialist advice, training and support to pre-school children and their families, Early Years settings, primary and secondary schools to promote the inclusion and achievement of children and young people with MSI and VI with additional needs.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Teacher who has a recognised qualification in the education of children with MSI and substantial experience of working with complex needs and visually impaired children in a variety of settings and age groups. Experience of peripatetic work is desirable and the candidate must be able to build effective professional relationships with families, colleagues, school staff and other professionals.
