We are interested in hearing from current frontline managers or experienced Social Workers who wish to progress into management and would like to join our Children in Care and Care Leavers Team here at Halton as a Practice Lead. We have an exciting new role involving leading and supervising the Personal Advisors within the team.
The team is responsible for ensuring that all children in care and care leavers are supported to achieve positive outcomes and support them in planning to build their lives as young adults and live independently. The team is also responsible for finding permanent families for those children who cannot live within their birth family.
Within this Practice Lead role, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting Personal Advisors within the team who work with young people aged 16 – 25 years old. This will include chairing meetings, providing supervision and support to the Personal Advisors and quality assuring Assessments and Reports. The role will also include working closely with partner agencies including Housing, Education, Health and Police to enable our young people to engage and live successfully in their community.

To apply for this post you must be an experienced Social Worker or Social Work Manager, along with knowledge and understanding of working with children in care and care leavers and our key partners as a corporate parent. In addition, this post is subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure and registration with Social Work England.
