More about the role:
Kingfishers is a 4 bedded bungalow offering overnight support to children/young people with learning and or physical disabilities. The role of the domestic is to ensure a clean, safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for the vulnerable children we support and also for any visitors to the home.
You will monitor stocks of cleaning products, understand the safe and effective use and storage of cleaning products and equipment, prioritise cleaning and other tasks to ensure standards are met. You will strip (sometimes soiled) and make beds, wash and iron clothing, bedding etc. Having an awareness of ‘COSHH’, Health and Safety, 'Infection control' and of 'Safeguarding' (child protection) issues and how to report/respond to any concerns, is desirable for this role. You will plan and prioritise daily tasks, be physically fit, a good communicator and have high standards of cleanliness.
