Housing Compliance Officer (MDC8300)

£21,589 – £26,317 per annum, plus casual car user allowance.

 

We are seeking an experienced housing enforcement officer to work within the Private Sector Housing service.

 

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with private sector housing legislation. You will contribute to the improvement of private sector housing conditions in our district and support the Environmental Health Officer (Housing) when taking formal enforcement action, prosecutions and the issuing of Civil Penalties.

 

You will have an interesting and varied workload and be responsible for carrying out HHSRS inspections in both single and multi-occupancy dwellings and deal with HMO licence applications. You will also be a key player in delivering housing advice to landlords and tenants and contribute to landlord forums and our proactive enforcement programme.

 

You will have an awareness of housing law and private sector housing issues and will be a confident and self-motivated professional with excellent communication skills. You will also be part of a small supportive team with both flexible and agile working options to enhance your work/life balance.
