About the role
If you are looking to develop a career in public service this could be a great opportunity for you.
Our administrative support officers play a key role in supporting the Council - helping us provide a better service to the people of East Sussex. It’s fast-paced and varied, but we’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need to succeed.
The successful candidate will work in our Children's Services Department providing high level administrative support to our Assessment and Planning Team who support children and young people with Special Educational Needs, and their families, in East Sussex. You will need great organisational skills, accurate minute taking skills, have the ability to work under pressure, excellent communication and MS Office skills and a desire to make a difference to the families we work with. In return for your commitment, we offer ongoing training and development opportunities.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
East Sussex County Council is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all suitable candidates, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age. All applications are treated on merit.
