About the role
East Sussex Adult Social Care’s Supply Management Team is looking for a full-time Brokerage Co-ordinator to work across the department.
This is a unique and important role coordinating good quality and best value services for vulnerable adults across East Sussex, primarily working with external care providers.
As a Brokerage Co-coordinator you will source and negotiate care services on behalf of adults with support needs. As part of your daily role you will identify and respond to urgent or critical situations, liaising with the social workers, care providers, and other relevant departments to ensure a timely and co-ordinated approach to dealing with referrals is taken.
A commitment to the principles of safeguarding vulnerable people is essential. Equally important will be your excellent IT and communication skills – from negotiating with suppliers, to recording actions taken and regular telephone conversations.
Some weekend working is required on a rota basis.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
