Business Development & Innovation Manager
Waltham Forest Traded Services (WFTS) is looking for two curious, creative people with an excellent track record in taking new ideas from proof of concept to market in a commercial environment.
These are new posts created to enable WFTS to support Waltham Forest Council identify commercial opportunities which generate income and ensure value for money and maximum efficiency for the Council and its residents. Successful applicants will work on a range of projects commissioned by the Council: responding to briefs, developing proposals, identifying and researching ideas, testing and piloting these, developing financial models and creating business cases for investment.
You will carry out service, financial and customer analysis and articulate the results to compile persuasive cases and enable our senior managers to make investment decisions. You will be able to demonstrate the value of your work in cashable terms.
You will develop clear journeys to market for ideas which progress and have a solid understanding of sales and marketing activity which can be applied to a broad range of products and services.
We see this role as a blend of business analysis, innovation development, sales and marketing and are seeking two candidates with complementary skills and experience to help grow this exciting new opportunity.
