Inclusive Salary range from £43,543 to £47,391 per year (inc. of market supplement)
plus essential user car allowance + up to 18.5% employer pension contribution

In this post you will be responsible for carrying out capital improvements to the Council's housing stock, taking a lead role in exploring procurement initiatives, new products and technologies. You will have the lead role in delivering the planned programme in conjunction with our partnering contractor. You will also be the lead officer for Asbestos Management and have oversight of the CDM process.
Educated to degree level in Building Surveying, you will ideally also be a member of RICS/CIOB or have considerable experience in the field. You will also have a wide range of professional building surveying experience including project and budget management. You will also be expected to partake in the Councils emergency out of hours repairs rota.
Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and core disciplines of work area including DDA Act 1995, Health & Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, the is essential for this post, JCT suite of contracts, planning and building control applications and related issues is essential for this post.
