This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy team which upholds the highest professional standards to provide assurance, support and advice to key stakeholders. You need to be able to work on your own initiative, and also under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
Reporting to the Audit Managers within the Internal Audit & Risk team we need a new Senior Auditor to plan, undertake and report on systems, regularity, contract and/or IT audits, fraud investigations and consultancy reviews in accordance with the Annual Audit plan and requirements of the Council.
Qualified to AAT or equivalent (desirable CCAB/CIMA/CIIA) with relevant experience you’ll need an eye for detail, with the ability to see the big picture and apply pragmatic solutions. To ensure Internal Audit remains respected and valued within the organisation, you will foster positive working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate the audit process and enable you to provide effective ad-hoc support and advice as required. You will help to ensure that adequate controls are built into systems under development and to help further embed sound risk management practice.
