Job Title: SEND Officer
Salary Range: £24,799 progressing to £29,636 pa
Hours: 37 per week
*Educated to A level or equivalent
*Hold substantial experience of SEN
*Understanding of current legislation and guidance relating to SEND
*Have regular access to a vehicle in order to travel around the county
We are looking for additional SEND officers within the statutory SEND service to fulfil the Local Authority statutory duties in respect of SEND.
The purpose of the job will be to work under the direction of the SEND team manager to deliver high quality services for children and young people with SEND 0-25 years in line with the SEND Code of Practice, statutory responsibilities and the authority’s policies and strategies.
We are looking for individuals educated to A level or equivalent as a minimum, with substantial experience of SEND. You will have excellent organisational skills, a high level of literacy and knowledge of SEND in a school/setting based environment, with a working knowledge and understanding of the Children and Families Act (2014), SEND Regulations and the SEND Code of Practice.
Experience of working on a Special Educational Needs and Disability Team would be advantageous.:
