Give our borough the best.
Help build a brand new Property Management team to serve Camden’s communities.
Something exciting is happening in Camden. We’re launching a new Property Management Service that’s better for our borough. To take on an agenda that’s bursting with varied and interesting projects, we’ve restructured our team and created a number of senior roles. Join a Council that cares about its people – and be part of something new.
As our Contract Resourcing Team Leader, you’ll make sure that our Property Management professionals have the materials and supply chain to deliver all kinds of projects. Leading a 12-strong Procurement team, including Building Surveyors, you’ll manage a budget of £380m over five years.
It’s a huge capital investment and we want to spend it wisely. That’s why we need you to oversee the procurement of all work packages. We’ll trust you to ensure scoping surveys are robust and work packages reflect resident feedback as well as our requirements. You’ll then create scoping packs for mini-competition processes. You’ll also be in charge of procurement strategy and see that we have the contracts in place to deliver services to our residents. With suppliers, costs and contracts to manage, you’ll be right at the heart of our new Property Management Services.
Some posts at Camden are politically restricted, which means individuals holding these posts cannot have active political role. For a list of all politically restricted roles at Camden click here.
It’s a remit that calls for a range of expertise covering procurement, building surveying, construction services, asset management, JTT contracts and DPS systems. You’ll have built your knowledge managing complex projects or commercial contracts and become adept at analysing contract pricing models and developing technical standards documents. Up to date with the latest in procurement strategy, you’ll understand partnering and framework agreements. You’ll also have a good grasp of financial management including open book accounting and final account processes. In addition to commercial acumen, you’ll have natural people skills. Used to managing teams, engaging with residents and working with multiple partners, you’ll be a great negotiator who’s always on the ball.
Modern, award-winning offices; career development; flexible working hours: our team enjoys all the above, as well as discounted access to on-site leisure facilities, including a swimming pool. Join us and you’ll be free to learn and excel as part of a diverse, inclusive organisation that values equality and social justice.
Our new service launches soon. Be part of something special.
