This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to pursue a career within the councils successful Digital Team, improving and developing our Four Star SOCITM website. As a Digital Content Designer, your role is to create, review, develop and update content for the councils multiple websites.
We need someone with a passion to make a difference. Someone who gets excited at the prospect of designing and building online services that residents will use time and time again. Someone who is constantly looking to better themselves and the applications they build to ensure they are fit for purpose and meeting customer need. Main responsibilities of the position include:
- Responsible for writing and publishing accessible web content that meets the needs and expectations of our citizens.
- Manage website content and ensure that content and communications are clear and concise.
- Working with internal departments to improve web content and promote best practice in content publication.
- Responsible for designing and developing intelligent web forms using the council's Customer Experience Platform (Firmstep).
- Undertake user testing using tools and techniques to understand the user experience and support the development of online services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with working knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as HTML.
The successful candidate will possess experience of working in a Content Management System (CMS) to create, update and maintain website content.
