About the roles
Our Property & Asset team have exciting new opportunities for a Maintenance Surveyor and Void Surveyor to work with us and our partners to help provide the highest quality repairs service to our housing stock and associated tenants.
As a Surveyor, you’ll provide a day to day repair service to tenants and maintain the Council’s housing stock to a high standard within a prescribed budget and aligned to our Integrated Asset Management Contract. Dealing with reactive and planned property maintenance requirements, you’ll investigate repair requests, diagnose faults, commission repairs and supervise them through to completion.

As a Surveyor, you’ll have experience of delivering a quality voids and/or responsive repairs and maintenance contract and ensure that all properties are managed and maintained to the highest possible standards in line with the current partnering contract. You’ll also have a good knowledge of building construction and contract management along with an excellent working knowledge of health and safety legislation including, fire & gas safety and asbestos regulations.
Excellent IT skills are also essential to this role, as are good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. You’ll also need good attention to detail and be able to effectively manage competing priorities to ensure our tenants needs our met in a timely manner.
Both roles require a valid driving licence and your own car (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
