Team Administrator – LIFE Alternative Education Provision
LIFE is a full time Education Provision for young people aged 16 to 19 years old based at Frimley Green Youth Centre (Surrey Heath) who experience barriers to learning.
LIFE runs two programmes (Year 1 and 2), which enables young people to progress between the programme and also offers direct entry to Year 2 which is more focused on Employability and Employability Skills.
In this role you will be part of the LIFE staff team and will be crucial in supporting the provision to run smoothly, efficiently and safely. The role will include keeping track of information, update and maintain spreadsheets and databases to ensure we have accurate recording, ensure time frames are met and provide performance information. In addition you will support the administration of Exams for the students, take meeting minutes and subsequently distribute to involved parties, liaise with families, professionals and students to disseminate information and l with building support in relation to the upkeep of the Centre.
You will be highly organized and willing to take responsibility and use initiative; comfortable in setting your own priorities and meeting deadlines. You will make sure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and teams you support.
Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication skills. You will have experience of working with highly confidential information in a customer focused environment and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a solid background in administration
- Understanding / knowledge of working with young people
- Has experience of working in a busy office environment
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills
- Is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to your work
- You must have excellent IT skills and be proficient in using Microsoft packages
