Lichfield District Council has ambitious plans to bring forward key development as part of our economic growth agenda and we are looking to appoint a Major Development Projects Officer to enhance the team and support the Major Development Projects Manager. You will have knowledge and experience of property and regeneration activities as well as project management skills and be able to progress work tasks with the minimum of supervision. This is a good opportunity for someone keen to develop their existing skills and knowledge in property, development and regeneration matters and make a positive difference to Lichfield district.
In supporting the Major Development Projects Manager, your duties will include assisting in the preparation and submission of bids for external funding together with the necessary research, assisting with producing and presenting reports and briefing papers for both internal and external bodies, preparing materials for public meetings and liaising with development partners, businesses, local organisations and the community in developing and implementing District Council-led projects.
As well as good property and regeneration knowledge and experience, you will have excellent communication skills, be skilled with Microsoft Office, be able to effectively prioritise tasks and work on own initiative, and be able to communicate and negotiate with a range of stakeholders and contractors.
