Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service (DFRS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for the role of Geographical Information System (GIS) Analyst. You will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of the corporate GIS platform.
You will be required to further develop the current GIS platform and enhance the integration with other DFRS systems. You will be responsible for the provision and analysis of spatial information and delivering in an effective manner to support the various service functions within DFRS.
There will be a requirement for some travel around the Derbyshire region for which a pool car can be provided.
The normal working week is 37 hours, usually worked Monday to Friday, however you may occasionally need to work beyond normal office hours, evenings and weekends as required. Police security vetting procedures at the appropriate level will be requested for the successful applicant. Please note that, due to the nature of security checks undertaken, applicants must have 3 years continuous residency in the UK up to the date of the application and Home Office approval for indefinite leave to remain within the UK.
