The West of England Combined Authority has just launched a major new £8m initiative to support SMEs with reviewing, planning and reskilling their workforce. We are now recruiting a programme coordinator to help provide the frontline support to SMEs and help orientate them across the programme to the partners who can best meet their needs.
This is an exciting and varied role which will see you working across the two key teams within the Business and Skills Directorate to help join up delivery: the Enterprise Team (in our Business Service) and the Workforce for the Future Team (in our People & Skills Service).
A key part of the role will be engaging with businesses across the West of England region to support them in identifying their skills needs and ensuring that businesses are matched to tailored support provided by our delivery partners. You will hold a pivotal role in the programme team and be fundamental to the programme’s success.
You will therefore need to have excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills and be a team player as well as being able to work independently. You will also have an interest in ensuring the highest quality customer support and bring knowledge of the business and skills landscape within the West of England.
For an informal chat, please contact Alison Eldam, Project Manager Workforce for the Future email@example.com or Pearl Mills, Skills People and Growth Manager firstname.lastname@example.org
This is a Fixed Term position until December 2023.
Closing date 2nd August. Interviews will be held on 19th August.
Interviews will be held virtually via Zoom.
