At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of local children and families is comprehensive and passionate. We’ve developed a creative, supportive, diverse environment where talented social care professionals can thrive. Our Children’s Centre is a great example.

Join us as Operational Lead and you’ll manage the delivery of our Children’s Centre offer, focusing on developing the 0-5 pathway, targeted outreach, evidence-based group parenting programmes and improving school readiness. We’ll look to you to grow great relationships with partners in the health, early years and the voluntary sectors, making sure our approach is targeted and we’re able to support families at the earliest point of need.

This is a place of robust and innovative front-line practice, excellent resources and real culture of dynamism. You’ll need a level 4 qualification, plus impressive experience in children’s centres, a background that includes early intervention programmes and a track record in safeguarding. Naturally, we’re looking for knowledge of child development and family functioning issues. On a personal level, you’ll need good team leadership, negotiating and organising skills.
