St Michael’s Church of England High School is a school with an extremely bright future. Number on roll and results over the last five years have seen dramatic rises.
Recently graded ‘Good’ by OFSTED, we are an 11-18 mixed Comprehensive School of around 680 students situated in a delightful position on the northern edge of Crosby.
For September 2020, we require an Attendance Officer. The successful candidate will be working with young people, families and other agencies to identify barriers to good attendance and cause of persistent absence. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, exceptionally well organised and have excellent communication skills.
The ability to relate well with both adults and children is essential. The successful candidate will promote equality of opportunity for all children, positive attendance and punctuality culture. The successful candidate may be required to make visits and the use of a car would be beneficial.
Experience of using SIMS and Microsoft Office is desirable. The postholder will be required to carry out administrative tasks, including updating attendance records and producing letters and reports.
The successful candidate will need to undertake relevant training in order to be a designated person to administer First Aid. The postholder should be able to drive and willing to drive the school minibus.
