Medway EPS provides support to all schools and academies and the community in and around Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Strood. We offer a consultation service with a named EP for every school and academy. We are increasingly a traded service with schools and academies valuing our service and purchasing EP time for assessments, interventions, therapeutic work, training and systemic work. We are part of the 0-25 Social Care Disability Service and work closely with SEN, Sensory Support Service, Early Years and the 0-25 Social Care teams. We have good partnership working with colleagues in Social Care and Health.
We are a supportive and collaborative team of 10.6fte educational psychologists and work centrally from the Medway Council Offices at Gun Wharf in Chatham. We are enthusiastic about applying psychology, valuing new applications, research and evidence based approaches. Several members of the team are accredited VIG practitioners. We are passionate about inclusion and value working directly with children, young people and their families within the context of early year’s settings, schools, our local FE College and the community. We always offer placements to Trainee Educational Psychologists and value the contribution they make to our service.
We offer induction, regular supervision and access to CPD.
Consideration will also be given to requests to work part-time.
Offers of appointment will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
