You will need to manage a heavy workload with tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills are paramount and efficient use of Microsoft Packages is vital.
This is a customer focused role in a contentious area and the post holder will need to deal with difficult situations in a professional and courteous manner.
You will manage and support a small team consisting of one Senior Support Officer and 3 Support Officers, advising on complex cases following relevant legislation including the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.
You will review current processes and procedures and making changes where needed to maintain excellent work practices and provide customers with the best service possible.
Demonstrating strong parking knowledge, you will be required to represent the parking team at Traffic Penalty Tribunal cases and where recommendations are made to follow these through.
Working closely with the Parking Enforcement Team you will advise and assist both on individual cases and on improvements that can be made to assist in the ongoing improvement of the service area.
The successful candidate will be required to use the IMPERIAL software for parking process to deal with representations and to run operation reports however full training will be given on this. The post holder will also deal with potentially complicated complaints, MP and Member enquiries.
Previous parking process experience is essential. The successful candidate will be advising colleagues on complex legislation, as well as assisting the parking enforcement team.
In return the successful candidate will be placed on a WAMITAB training course which will result in a formal qualification when completed.
