Barrow Borough Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and talented IT Operations and Infrastructure Leader to manage, maintain and develop the Councils IT infrastructure.
The post is offered on a full time of 37 hours per week.
The successful applicant will be a graduate (educated to degree level) and have demonstrable skills in managing a corporate IT infrastructure.
You will be a self-motivated and confident individual with the analytical and decision-making skills required for problem solving and future developments. Dedication to continuous skills development is essential.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with new technologies and have a record of accomplishment for working in a continuously changing environment.
Team leadership is essential in this role as taking the lead on complicated projects is required.
You will require excellent technical and interpersonal skills to turn business requirements into practical solutions. The ability to converse at ease and in accurate spoken English with other Council staff and external service desks, to provide/obtain information and advice, is also an essential requirement.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
