Job Title: Counter Fraud Officer(Fraud Investigator)
Location: Stevenage
Salary Range: 26,999 - £38,813 pa (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 18 Months Fixed Term/Secondment Contract October 2020 to March 2022 (funded position)
 

The Hertfordshire Shared Anti-Fraud Service (SAFS) provides an award winning counter fraud service to our partner organisations across Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire. Based at our Stevenage office we have a vacancy for someone willing to work in a high pressure environment to demanding targets and delivering excellent outcomes. Working as Counter Fraud Officer you must be able to develop professional relationships, have excellent IT and people skills, be prepared to learn and undertake, or have already completed, nationally accredited training, and be capable of adapting or developing existing procedures.  This post is part of a career scheme and although not essential experience of criminal or enforcement investigations in the UK is desirable.

This role is funded for 18 months with a focus on developing a counter fraud culture in Hertfordshire’s Childrens & Education Services. This will include creating and conducting fraud risk assessments, fraud awareness training, assisting with fraud reporting tools and working with the relevant departments, schools and academies to investigate allegations of fraud and corruption.
