Children's Nurse in School

We are looking for an experienced and motivated children’s nurse to join our friendly and highly skilled complex health team, as our nurse in school, working alongside our band 6 Complex Health Nurse
The post, based at Humberston Park school for students with a range of additional and complex health needs, provides you with the opportunity to extend and maintain your clinical skills whilst making a difference to the lives of children and young people who have additional needs and their parents.
You will be responsible for their healthcare needs during the school day and work in partnership with education colleagues in the school and with parents.
You will also work collaboratively with the wider Multi Agency Teams to meet health, developmental, social and safeguarding needs of the children and young people. Enabling the students to fully access education and so reach their full potential is central to the role; and the post will include training of the education staff in meeting health needs of children. Therefore, the post holder will be required to have a high level of paediatric clinical skills and knowledge along with the ability to train, supervise and assess as competent potential and existing care teams.
The post holder will also be required to have significant understanding of the current Education, Health and Social Care process for Special Educational Needs, and the ability to work autonomously.
